HPE StoreOnce Recovery Manager Central (RMC) Software combines the simplicity of snapshots with the reliability and cost effective retention of backups. Native integration of HPE 3PAR StoreServ and HPE StoreOnce in a seamless, converged data protection solution removes the dependency on traditional backup software. HPE StoreOnce RMC for VMware enables customers to protect VMware Virtual Machine Disks and data stores using consistent snapshots for rapid online recovery. The Express Protect feature offers a second-tier of data protection by facilitating backup of snapshots from 3PAR StoreServ to StoreOnce. Snapshots backed up to StoreOnce are self-contained volumes, deduplicated to save space, and can be used to recover back to the original or a different 3PAR StoreServ array, even if the original base volume is lost. Administrators can access all this functionality from within the VMware vCenter management console.

  Combining the performance of snapshots with the protection of backup, HPE StoreOnce Recovery Manager Central (RMC) Software leverages HPE 3PAR StoreServ Snapshot technology and HPE StoreOnce Catalyst for converged data protection through the seamless integration for both primary and backup storage. Reduce the cost and complexity of your backup infrastructure. The Express Protect feature facilitates backup of virtual data copies from 3PAR StoreServ to StoreOnce without the need for backup software. Furthermore, StoreOnce deduplicates the backup reducing storage requirements by up to 20x. Faster, more efficient recovery from synthetic full backups, generated in-line using the prior set of objects and leveraging 3PAR StoreServ Snapdiff technology, which identifies and sends only the incrementally changed blocks to StoreOnce.   The HPE StoreOnce Recovery Manager Central (RMC) Software provides a non-disruptive, automated solution allowing administrators to power hundreds of application-consistent virtual machine (VM) snapshots for rapid online recovery. Integrated into the VMware vCenter Server Virtualization management console for centralized control; the Scheduler feature automates snapshot creation on 3PAR StoreServ as well as backup of snapshots to StoreOnce. Snapshot efficiency; uses an array-based approach that leverages HPE 3PAR StoreServ Virtual Copy feature to create highly space-efficient snapshots without the use of separate agents installed on individual virtual machines. Can be used for a variety of scenarios including change management (protecting virtual machines before applying new patches) and creating snapshots for testing and development purposes.

  HPE StoreOnce Recovery Manager Central Software allows recovery to any point in time - scalable, non-duplicative snapshots allow administrators a greater number of backups for a frequent extended history of recovery points, giving flexibility when committing to a given Recovery Point Objective (RPO). Delivers the flexibility to restore from snapshot, or to directly and instantaneously mount the snapshot on the host, which allows administrators to offer increasingly aggressive Recovery Time Objective (RTO) SLAs to customers.

  The HPE StoreOnce Recovery Manager Central (RMC) Software provides a programmable interface via REST API SDK for scripting purposes so you can integrate the application-consistent snapshot and backup management capabilities into your business applications. The StoreOnce RMC REST API SDK also serves as a single integration point for ISVs for facilitating snapshot and backup management on HPE 3PAR StoreServ and HPE StoreOnce.
