The integrated malware protection shields the internal network against malicious content by scanning web content (HTTP and HTTPS), emails (SMTP, POP3) and file transfers (FTP) through two fully integrated antivirus modules. Malware protection is based on regular signature updates and advanced heuristics to detect malware or other potentially unwanted programs even before their signatures are available. Malware Protection fends off viruses, worms, Trojans, malicious Java applets and programs that exploit known vulnerabilities in PDF, image and Office documents, macro viruses and much more, even when stealth or morphing techniques are used to disguise them.
